NSA 101 TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

All NSA 101 training assumes three things:  First, that you are a commissioned and trained notary public with experience performing basic notarizations. Second, that you have a basic understanding of the loan process. And third, that you have successfully completed the pre-workshop training assignment before we meet.  

Your purchase of any product or service from NSA 101/Carmen Lane LLC constitutes your agreement and acceptance of all terms and conditions. If you do not agree, do not make purchases or use resources. 

PURCHASES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. There are some free NSA 101 training videos on the NSA 101 YouTube channel which you can watch to decide whether you like my approach. For the digital downloads such as sample loan packages and recorded webinar, I feel I have accurately described what they are. If you are contemplating a private training session with me, you are welcome to call me to ask any questions you might have about it first. Once you have made a purchase, it becomes 100% non-refundable. (The only exception is that if I must cancel a private training due to an unforeseen circumstance (traffic accident, illness, etc.), I will notify you ASAP and the purchase will be refunded or training rescheduled.) 

COMMUNICATION IS KEY. When you book training with me, I am setting my time aside for you. You must agree to communicate with me regarding that training session and to provide me at least 24 hours written notice if you must reschedule to another day or time. Even if you are going to be just a few minutes late to our meeting, you must give the courtesy of a phone call (handsfree if you are driving) so that I know what is going on and when to expect you.  This is especially true for private and 1-on-1 training. If you book three hours of training with me and you are an hour late, you then have two hours of training remaining. If you are two hours late, you have one hour remaining, and so on. 

CANCELLING AND RESCHEDULING ANY PRE-PAID TRAINING WITH AT LEAST 24 HOURS PRIOR WRITTEN NOTICE: If you cancel our agreed upon appointment, training, or workshop with at least 24 hours prior written notice, it is possible to reschedule to a different time or a different day, subject to availability.  This means you agree to provide me a minimum of 24 hours prior to our scheduled meeting in order to reschedule our training/meeting to a different day, otherwise all fees are forfeit and training shall not be rescheduled. 

NO-SHOWS, and SAME-DAY CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING ON ANY PRE-PAID TRAINING/COACHING APPOINTMENT OR *WITHOUT* AT LEAST 24 HOURS WRITTEN NOTICE:  If you cancel (or No-Show) on our agreed upon appointment WITHOUT at least 24 hours prior written notice, that session is cancelled, all fees are forfeit (non-refundable), and the session cannot be rescheduled without incurring additional fees. "NO-SHOW" means that I have arrived prepared to coach you at our previously scheduled and agreed upon meeting time/location and that YOU DID NOT SHOW UP, and neither did I receive any advance notice whatsoever (phone call, text, or email) that you would late or would not be attending at all. You will let me know if you are running a few minutes late. I'll do the same. We shall communicate; we will not just leave the other hanging and wondering or waste the other's time.

IF I MUST CANCEL A WORKSHOP DUE TO LACK OF STUDENTS: A minimum of 4 students is needed for the live, in-person training workshops to help off-set costs. If fewer than four students are enrolled, it's possible that workshop may be cancelled due to insufficient interest. If you pre-paid for a seat at a group workshop that ends up being cancelled by me, you will be notified ASAP and a full refund will be provided. Or you can apply the purchase toward future training.

TRAVEL FEE for private or 1-on-1 applies if I must travel to your location to provide training. Rate quoted depends on RT travel.

TEMPER YOUR EXPECTATIONS regarding potential earnings in new business ventures. NSA 101/Carmen Lane LLC makes absolutely no promises nor offers any guarantees regarding your own personal success as a notary signing agent.  Do not quit your day job just yet. If you purchase any notary signing agent training because you heard or someone told you it is an easy way to get rich quick (and you believed it), please stop. Get out now. "Success" is highly subjective. My idea of success could be quite different from your idea of success. Any success at all as a notary signing agent will primarily depend on YOU. It shall require your sincere effort (reading, studying, learning, practicing), your persistence (marketing, networking, and relationship building with potential hiring companies), and definitely your $ investment (licensing, insurance, training, equipment, supplies, etc.) Success as a NSA also depends on your ability to negotiate with hiring companies to accept your loan signing fee for each assignment. Success can also be affected by external factors beyond your control: mortgage interest rates, housing demand and market conditions, and a healthy or weak economy. These have a very real effect on the notary signing agent business in general. When interest rates are low, more people may want to refinance their homes to a more favorable rate in order to save money. When interest rates go high, the number of refinance assignments will typically go down. Please do not go into this field expecting it is going to be super easy and/or that you are going to make six figures quickly or at all. That is just not reality for the majority of loan signing agents. Take your time to do some career research and compare salaries on a variety of websites (such as Salary.com, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Ziprecruiter.com, and others) with your own needs/assumptions/expectations.

Have you heard that saying, "IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS"? Knowing what I know now, I get infuriated by fast talking Internet hucksters with slick ads and infomercials trying to lure people with talk of six figure earnings as a notary signing agent. All sales people need to be taken with a skeptical eye-rolling grain of salt, especially smooth talkers trying to sell pipe dreams. Taking a single notary signing agent training class is no guarantee you will earn six figures any more than a single acting class will make you a movie star. It takes work. I suggest you be leery of anyone trying to sell you their "proven notary signing agent system".  Be leery of anyone making outrageous claims or promises, especially those who promise you will make fast easy money with no effort. Being a notary signing agent is not the quick easy side hustle some people want you to believe. SUCCESS TAKES WORK. Loan signing is not something that should be entered into lightly. The role of a notary signing agent is an important one that requires preparation and training (or rigorous self-study) and which carries a great deal of responsibility and the risk for potential liability if he/she makes mistakes. 

I am a notary who also sells NSA 101 notary signing agent training, so that makes me a sales person too. I urge every notary signing agent to maintain intellectual curiosity and a healthy skepticism. My father would call it being business savvy, or keeping our eyes wide open. I do not push my NSA 101 training onto anyone. Nor do I insist or pretend that every prospective notary signing agent in Washington (or any other state) needs the training I offer. I think you ought to read through the all of the free materials I have outlined on my website and watch the free NSA 101 YouTube videos first. Gauge your comfort level yourself at each step and then decide for yourself whether you feel you will benefit from continuing with my signing agent training.
